A Welcome Back to Campus

Join us on Thursday, May 21, 2026, for an evening on the beautiful and historic campus of the Lisner-Louise-Dickson-Hurt Home.

With our assisted living residences fully reopened, The Louise on Western welcoming residents, and our full continuum of care active, Garden Party 2026 marks an important new chapter for LLDH Home.

This is not a traditional nonprofit gala. It is a welcoming, relationship-centered evening designed to reconnect longtime supporters, introduce new friends, and invite the community to experience the Home as it is today.

The Evening Will Include:

  • Live music

  • Guided tours of our newly renovated campus

  • Resident art and creativity displays

  • A relaxed cocktail reception

  • Presentation of the Laura Lisner Award honoring Sue Hargreaves for 35 years of leadership and service improving the quality of life for older adults in Washington, D.C.

At any given time, nearly 200 older adults live across our campus in independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. Over the course of a year, more than 300 individuals live on or receive care within this continuum. Garden Party is an opportunity to see this community in action.
